acton was born, his parents discovered that their household pets just couldn't be trusted around the baby. they would get anxious, or aggressive. by the time acton was a year old they only had their trusty sheepdog left in the house, and acton wasn't allowed near the sheep--because they would just drop dead of fright.
1965
good grades in school, but he used to find himself distracted often by noises that nobody else could hear or people nobody else could see. he found himself at the end of the cane for it a lot. came home with sore and bruised knuckles. mum and dad thought something might be wrong with him.
1967
their latest sheepdog physically attacks acton. he almost loses an arm over it. the family decide to get rid of their animals all together until acton leaves home.
1970
twenty years old, acton realises he's not normal, that he can see things that other people can't. that he just instinctively knows how people feel, what they're like. and he's been speaking to a dead house maid for the past four years, not an imaginary friend.
1975
acton lives on his own in his home in the countryside far from where he was born, now. he started contacting the dead, reaching to them on the other side. he allowed the locals to speak to their old loved ones through him. some believed it, some didn't. one day he opened the door to a spirit far more malevolent, disguising itself as a little girl. now the shadowy creature follows him around with a pickaxe, knocking on the stone walls. draining his energy.

isaac was born in a very ordinary way on a very ordinary farm in birmingham area. his father owned a crop duster, and his mother taught at a local school. isaac grew up as a bit of a wild card, hating the restraints that the family farm put on his life, and frequently went out of his way to rebel.
2015
bad marks, bad friends, bad habits, isaac wound up in jail at the age of 18 after killing a woman in a car accident--a direct result of being under the influence of drink and drugs. he was taken to a mainland prison on an eighteen year sentence.
2017
isaac was moved from the mainland prison to the aircraft carrier rebirth to take part in something known as the "aviation games." which, as an annual system of games, when won, would reduce his sentence significantly. a fact of entertainment and a way of limiting prison populations, men and women with piloting experience are pitted against each other in a low altitude aerial races in various parts of the world.

he should only have 7 more years of his sentence, but he's got 10. as the rules of the aviation games dictate -- no guns.

from the first moment he can remember , he was a loner . the year was 2089 , it was a summer's night and he remembers the streets as though they were clear as day . he was only two years old , and walking them alone . he was picked up by two orphanage care workers , and that was that .

IT'S HOW THEY KNOW HE'S STILL ALIVE , and why they are still searching .she figured it out of course , katherine , after ten years of separation she never stopped thinking about what things alistair had told her . and she figured it out . she found him , hidden away in the forest and told him what she'd discovered . THAT HE WAS SCARED . that he always had been . scared of fear . afraid to let himself be afraid . afraid to be afraid of being afraid . some vicious cycle that alistair's mind had defended himself against for two and a half decades . and she was right , he realised she was right .
